This Privacy Policy applies to the Image & PDF to Excel Converter application (hereinafter referred to as the “Application”), developed and provided by the Service Provider for Android devices. The Application is provided on an “AS IS” basis.

DocScan is an Android document scanning app that converts photos and PDF files into editable Excel, Word, or CSV formats. It uses on-device and cloud-assisted services to perform document detection, table analysis, OCR, export, billing, analytics, and crash reporting.

The Application may collect the following information to provide, improve, and secure its services:

• Device information such as model, operating system version, and device identifiers
• Application usage data, including feature usage, session duration, and navigation behavior
• Crash and performance data to help diagnose and fix issues
• Analytics data for improving user experience and application stability
• Billing transaction data only when in-app purchases are made through the Google Play Store

The Application does not collect precise location data or personal contact lists. It also does not permanently store user images unless explicitly required for a feature and clearly disclosed in the Application.

Document scanning, OCR, and file conversion are performed primarily on the user’s Android device. Some features may utilize third-party services or libraries for text recognition, document layout analysis, and file export. The Application may also use Mistral to enhance document understanding, layout extraction, and OCR accuracy.

The Application uses Android SDK libraries and third-party services to provide its features. These services may collect data according to their own policies.

• Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics for analytics and crash reporting
• Google Play Billing for in-app purchases
• Google ML Kit for document scanning and text recognition
• Mistral for document understanding, OCR, and layout extraction
• AndroidX libraries, Jetpack Compose, Room, DataStore, Retrofit, and related Android libraries for app functionality
• Apache POI and related XML libraries for Excel export

The Service Provider is not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party libraries or services. Users should review the privacy policies of these providers separately.

User data may be shared only when necessary and in the following cases:

• With third-party providers that support the Application’s functionality and operations
• When required by law or legal process
• To protect the rights, property, or safety of users or others

Data is retained only as long as necessary to provide the Application’s services and to comply with legal obligations. Images and documents are processed and stored only for the duration needed to complete requested tasks.

The Service Provider uses reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect user data from unauthorized access, disclosure, or alteration.

The Application is not intended for children under the age of 13. The Service Provider does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If such information is discovered, it will be deleted.

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Continued use of the Application after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

This Privacy Policy is effective as of July 15, 2025.
